Connect HR strategic activities to business objectives by completing the Create and Manage HR Planning, Policies, and Strategies. Open Standards Benchmarking Assessment. By linking a documented HR strategy to achieving market objectives and reporting such results to all stakeholders, the human resource executive is more likely to receive the necessary resources and leadership attention.

At the conclusion of your assessment exercise, you will receive your Create and Manage HR Strategy Performance Assessment participant report which includes the following metrics:

  • Number of business entity employees per FTE that performs the process group "develop and manage human resources (HR) planning, policies, and strategies"
  • Percentage of operational staff/office staff with formal succession planning processes in place
  • Operational workers/office staff satisfaction with overall HR services
  • Total cost to perform the process group "develop and manage human resources (HR) planning, policies, and strategies" per process group FTE

All submissions to APQC's benchmarking database, both Open Standards Benchmarking and Rapid Performance Assessments, must be collected using APQC's easy-to-use Microsoft Excel data collection instruments. Please download a fresh copy of the assessment file from the menu above by clicking the “Download Survey to Start Assessment” button.

Each benchmarking assessment offers an Excel-based data collection tool consisting of the survey itself, the measures associated with the survey, the glossary terms needed to understand the survey, and a copy of the Process Classification Framework (PCF) relevant to the data collection instrument. The consolidated data collection tool is intended to simplify the collection of benchmarking data within your organization.
