Perry Wiggins

Chief Financial Officer, Secretary & Treasurer

Perry Wiggins joined APQC as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and was elected to the APQC Board of Directors as Secretary & Treasurer in 2017. He leads the finance and accounting teams and facilities department as well as serves as a member of the executive team.

A purpose-driven, servant-leader, Perry epitomizes APQC’s values and vision. He is passionate about building high-functioning, successful teams that are focused on improving processes and performance. He brings deep knowledge in all aspects of financial management from forecasting and budgeting, to revenue accounting and financial reporting and even down to payroll and audit. His background in highly change-driven organizations provides a perfect complement for APQC’s ongoing improvement quest.

Perry brings with him more than a decade of experience in healthcare and nonprofit finance and accounting. Prior to joining APQC, he served in CFO roles for NOVA Recovery; ALTUS Healthcare Management Services; and Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation. He was instrumental in the acquisition activities at both NOVA Recovery and Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation. Additionally, he restructured the revenue cycle department at Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation to improve collections and billing. Earlier in his career, Perry served in various finance, accounting, and auditing roles with TRS Behavioral Care (Right Step); CHRISTUS Health; and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA).

With his deep healthcare and finance background, Perry assists as a subject matter expert for APQC’s ongoing research in those areas as needed. He’s always eager to share his knowledge and collaborate with APQC members seeking to improve in these areas.

Perry received his Masters of Business Administration in management and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Married with two daughters, Perry is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He was born and raised in Tennessee, moved to Ohio for college and his early career, and then escaped the snow in 2008 when he relocated to Texas. A CPA through and through, his favorite reads are financial articles.
